First of all, I can’t believe my baby is seven months old! Man time sure is going by fast. This is a typical day in the life for us in pictures and descriptions! Although not every day goes like this, and some days are more rough than others, this is what our lives look like in general!
First thing in the morning! Bright and early at 6:30 AM. My sweet little smiling boy is ready to start his day!
Ready to play after some breakfast! We usually start the day with our basket of toys and some cartoons. He loves to watch Chuggington (a cartoon about trains) and play with his teething toys!
After about two hours of playing, little man is ready for his first nap. This grumpy face lets mama know he’s ready! This usually happens three times a day, but nothing a little nap can’t fix!
Once he’s up from his nap and fed, its time to run some errands! You can tell he’s really thrilled.
Today’s errand was grocery shopping. So many things to look at, reach for, grab, and chew on! The older he gets the more I have to keep my eye on this one!!
At some point in the day, mom has to get some housework done! This little boy does not like to be separated from me for long, so usually I enlist his help! (And by help I mean he watches me while eating snacks).
We love to be outside! I try to get us some outside time everyday. Got to get that vitamin D! Sometimes we go on walks, or go to the park, or just sit on a blanket in the front or back yard. Today we sat in the front yard and we were very entertained by cars driving by!
Dinner time! By now Brian is home from work (yay!) and dinner is ready. Wesley loves to eat- I know its hard to tell 😉 . We’ve been trying to take the baby led weaning approach to introducing solids (although I still give him purees occasionally). Tonight was pork chops and sweet potatoes. He loved it!
After dinner, Wesley is usually in desperate need of a bath! Lately he loves turning around in his baby bath and splashing the water, playing with toys, and exploring. He barely fits in his baby bath now so usually we sit him up in the tub. He loves bath time and usually puts up a fight when its over!
Bed time! He’s got his pjs on, he’s been slathered in lotion (he has baby eczema), and he’s ready for bed. Brian reads him a bible story, we say a short prayer as a family, sing Wesley a couple of songs, and then Brian rocks him and puts him down! He’s usually out by 7:00 PM. (Although he usually wakes up once during the night to eat still).
Some days are boring, some are eventful, and some are a little too eventful! No matter what our day looks like, I’m so thankful that we get to end it like this. As a family! 🙂
